Gigi loves spaghetti, as you can see from this picture. She loves it in her mouth, around her mouth, on her hands, and even in her hair. Spaghetti night always makes her happy. Maybe because it's a guaranteed bath night.
This is one of Lance's favorite pictures of Gigi. She was so ready to have her picture taken.
I take Gigi hiking once a week as long as the weather permits. This was a very cool Autumn day. She always loves our hikes, and so do I!
Here we are on Gigi's second Halloween. She was such a cute little monster. Lance and I did a last minute costume of Edward and Bella. You can't see it here, but Lance has glitter on him so that he sparkles in the sun.
Peek-A-Boo
We told Gigi that we needed to go run some errands. She ran out of the room and came back like this, with her hat on... backwards. It was so cute that she knew what to do to get ready to go.
Gigi's second Christmas... and spoiled again!
Since hiking is out when it's snowy, we go sledding. Here we are with a few of Gigi's friends. We had so much fun. She loves to wear her snowsuit and boots.
OK, she loves to dress up! Period! She's a little Glam Girl here.
Springtime in our yard.
Gigi and Daddy on the back deck waiting for dinner to finish on the grill. I had to sneak this picture through a window so that Gigi wouldn't notice and come get the camera from me.
Hiking up at Cecret Lake. It was so beautiful up there.
Playing in the backyard.
I don't know what Gigi was doing, but I love this picture of her.
Lance insisted that we include this picture here. I know it looks like I'm trying to take over the whole picture. In reality, the photographer was shooting everything and I was trying to adjust my legs.
A nice family picture in the mountains...
The First Year
This is Gigi's first Halloween. I chose not to go all out since I knew she wouldn't remember it. She sure was cute in that little hat.
I swear Gigi smiled on her second or third day of life. The pediatrician laughed at me when I mentioned it, but it seemed like a genuine smile to me. She continues to smile all the time and is a joy to be around.
Here is our budding musician. I think she's laughing because she knows we "think" she can't play that thing.
Our first Christmas with Gigi. She's just a little spoiled.
Gigi and Mom, hanging out.
Gigi's first Easter, holding a sugary Easter treat that she never tasted. We have been very careful about giving her sweets. As far as we know, she didn't have any her first year.
Gigi is crawling... and proud of it!
Bringing Home Baby
Here I am, very swollen, after finally having Gigi. She was two weeks late and had to come by c-section. Thank goodness we were all healthy and happy.
We just arrived home from the hospital.
Gigi just starting to wrap her Daddy around her little finger.
Gigi's blessing day.
Pregnancy
We sold our townhome and spent two months in this little apartment for the 7th and 8th months of the pregnancy. June was fine because it was rainy and cool the entire time. Then July hit! We didn't have air conditioning and I worked from home. It was miserably hot but we survived until we found a home.
These two pictures were taken shortly before Gigi was born. We were in our new home and were setting up everything for the nursery. It was a very fun time for us.
Honeymoon
Here we are on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. It was one of the mildest January weeks that they had seen in New York City in years. We walked all over the place and had a wonderful time.
Here's another view on the Brooklyn Bridge.
When we got to Brooklyn, I spotted this sign and couldn't agree more. "How Sweet It Is!" But to me it was about being with Lance.
On our last day in New York City, we spent the morning in Central Park. People ask us if we saw any shows. I know they mean Broadway shows, and we did see Wicked, but our favorite shows were the jazz concerts at The Blue Note and The Vanguard.
Wedding
Here we are surrounded by family. It was a beautiful January day. As you can see, most people are in coats or sweaters but I felt so warm and happy the entire day.
My fascination with socks extends to footwear in general. I really wanted to find some white Go-Go boots for the big day and these fit the bill perfectly. I was even comfortable in them most of the day. They were unique and perfect!
I guess I could call this a moment of pure joy.
This was one happy day for both of us.
Whenever I need Lance to help me with something, I only have to say, "I'm fascinating." This would be one of those moments when I'm being fascinating and letting him help me out. He is always sweet about it and willing to lend me a hand.
Looking back, but no regrets!
It was nice to find a quiet place to relax while we continued with the post-wedding photo shoot.
We both felt completely happy and thankful to finally be married.
Engagement
These are engagement pictures of Lance and me. We went up to Aspen Grove in the early morning hours of a beautiful November day. We had so much fun and were looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.
This is the picture Lance liked the best for our announcements. I like the picture but hesitated to use it because of the bathroom facilities in the background over my shoulder. I guess it makes for an interesting picture.
This is another photo I liked, I think mostly because of the way the sun was shining on us and it had a bit of a dreamy feel.
These are the socks I was wearing under my boots for the photo shoot. We joke about my obsession with interesting socks. What can I say? I love them!
As we were walking away from our photographer to prepare for another shot, I turned back and said, "Aren't you going to get a bum shot of us." "Ask and you shall receive," she replied as she snapped this photo.

Ultimately, this is the picture we chose
